Product overview

Business Starter is the edition most small teams choose when they want to leave a shared inbox or a free mailbox behind. Everyone gets a professional address on your domain, a calendar, Drive storage and Meet.

Google describes the storage as 30 GB pooled per user, shared across the organisation. Meetings on this edition hold up to 100 participants. Recording, shared drives and appointment pages are not part of Starter. Those are reasons to look at Business Standard.

Business Starter can be purchased for up to 300 users. S1 Techserve can help with the domain, mail records and the first accounts. A licence is created only after Google accepts the subscription and the quote is confirmed. It is not created automatically when you send an enquiry.

Is 30 GB enough for a small office?

Google provides 30 GB of pooled storage per user on Business Starter, shared across the organisation. Mail and Drive both use that pool. If the team stores large files or records meetings, Business Standard's 2 TB pool is the next step.

Can you connect Business Starter to our domain?

Yes, subject to confirmation. The usual work is domain verification, MX records for Gmail, and SPF, DKIM and DMARC. We agree the scope before any DNS change.

Will the licences renew on their own?

Renewal follows the billing term Google applies to the subscription, either flexible or an annual commitment. S1 Techserve will tell you the renewal date and the amount before it is due. Sending this enquiry does not start a subscription.
